The Bullpen
In the past, the “Bullpen” was a gathering place for the oil company’s Drilling Foremen. It was their place of “residence” in the office. The day foreman and the night foreman usually shared a desk. They generally talked about their families, their jobs, and their feelings on day-to-day activities. In other words, for better or for worse, the Bullpen fostered the distribution of experience-acquired knowledge in the office.
This section of our website, “The Bullpen,” hopes to continue this tradition. We plan to include some features as outlined below:
- Templates for reporting methods during operations
- “How Tos” to help the less experienced foreman in decision-making
- Checklists for steps in doing “uncommon” procedures
- New governmental regulations which are going into effect and explanations on how to address the items to remain in compliance
- Things which we may like to share with other foremen, such as the birth of a child or grandchild, the marriage of a son or daughter, or the notice of a death of a service hand who may have worked with a number of foremen
The things that you would personally like to show on the “Bullpen” webpage should be emailed to us at contact@crescentdrilling.com. Questions which you may have or items you may need help with can also be emailed to contact@crescentdrilling.com and it will be forwarded to the appropriate person who will assist you in a timely manner.
