William Haws, Chief Executive Officer
William Haws has 29 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in 1977 with Quarles Drilling, where he marketed inland barge rigs until 1986. He then worked in the marketing department of Atlantic Pacific & Marine Corporation from 1987 to 1989. In 1990 he went to work with Smith International until 1998, working in the Smith Bits division. He started with Crescent Drilling & Production, Inc. in 1999 as Vice President of Marketing. He is responsible for all marketing and legal issues while he assists engineering by compiling quotations for AFEs.
William is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Petroleum Institute, American Association of Drilling Engineers, IADC, ForeKids Foundation, and American Junior Golf Association. He is a 1964 graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.
Scott McDonald, President
Scott McDonald has 29 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in 1980 with Hughes Tool Company. Over the course of 27 years Hughes Tool Co. merged with Eastman Christensen, and Baker Oil Tools to form the Current Baker Hughes. He held several positions within the Baker Hughes Corporation, Operations Manager – South Louisiana, Gulf States Sales Manager, OASIS Drilling Engineer, Technical Marketing rep. Mr. McDonald has operated in a leadership role and engineering supervision role for the past 14 years.
In 2007 he started with Crescent Drilling & Production, Inc. as Vice President of Project Management. He currently oversees the Planning and Execution of Drilling, Completion and De-commissioning projects within the Crescent Drilling & Production network.
Rick Farmer, Senior Vice President Engineering
Rick Farmer started his oil and gas career as an “oilfield brat” delivering drill bits throughout the Southeast with his father. After working on offshore and onshore rigs during college, Rick officially began his professional career with Union Oil of California where he was hired to work reservoir and drilling. In 1996, he began working as a consultant for UNOCAL and then Petroleum Engineers, Inc. In 1999, he joined Crescent Drilling & Production as a consultant and became a partner and Vice President of Engineering the following year. His experience in well bore designing, pore pressure evaluations and daily operations, for both drilling and completions, has proven to be useful for a number of his clients, including Chevron, Shell, UNOCAL and Dominion.
Rick currently serves the New Orleans Chapter of the American Association of Drilling Engineers as President for 2007 – 2008, following a successful term as 1st Vice President, during 2006 – 2007. He is also a current member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the Society of Petrophysicists & Well Log Analysts, and the Baton Rouge Civil War Roundtable Club. Rick graduated from Mississippi State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering.
Leslie Ligori, Vice President Well-Site Supervision
Leslie Ligori has over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She started her career as a drilling and engineering coordinator for Century Offshore Management Corporation (now Century Exploration), where she primarily served as the liaison between the Vice President of Engineering and the well-site supervisors. In 1995, she continued her career with Crescent Turnkey & Engineering, LLC as the regulatory manager. In 1997, Crescent Turnkey & Engineering reformed into CD&P where she was responsible for regulatory compliance for the clientele of Crescent. In 2003, she became the VP of Well-Site Supervision for Crescent Drilling Foreman, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Crescent Drilling & Production, Inc. In 2006, in addition to her association with Crescent Drilling Foreman, Inc., she became the majority stockholder in CD&P Enterprises, LLC which is a minority owned LLC and an affiliate of Crescent Drilling & Production, Inc. As President of CD&P Enterprises, LLC she is responsible for securing and maintaining accounts with respect to project management and well-site supervisor needs for new and existing clients.
Warren Young, Vice President Finance
Warren Young launched his oil and gas career in 1995 with Crescent Turnkey and Engineering as an Accountant. In 1997, when Crescent Turnkey reformed into Crescent Drilling & Production, Inc., Warren was named Controller of this new entity. He currently holds the position of Vice President of Finance and is a shareholder of the company.
Warren has been an active board member of the New Orleans Bowling Tournament since 1999 and has served two years as President of this organization. He graduated from Nicholls State University in 1988 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He earned is CPA in 1998.
